Director, Engineering

The Director, Engineering is responsible for overseeing the design, architecture, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. The scope of this job includes leading a team of engineers and technical experts, driving both technical and operational success, and fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and inspire multiple engineering teams by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Work with senior leadership to define the long-term technical vision and roadmap and align engineering objectives with company-wide goals by ensuring the teams’ work directly contributes to business success.
Influence business leaders on key initiatives and projects, create strategic proposals to gain approval for execution, and oversee execution of major technical initiatives to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Collaborate with solution management, design, and other departments to align on goals, solution features, and timelines to deliver cohesive and scalable solutions.
Identify and mitigate risks in both technical and operational areas, and ensure that engineering teams are prepared for unforeseen challenges and have the necessary support to overcome obstacles.
Act as a key point of contact between the engineering teams and executive leadership by communicating project status, risks, and successes, and providing insights into technical decisions and their potential business impact.
Provide direction to engineering managers and senior engineers to support their growth and drive team performance.
Leverage AI tools and platforms as an integral part of daily responsibilities to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and drive data-informed outcomes.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
4 - 5 years related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare industry experience

Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
