At World Animal Protection, we move the world to protect animals. We are looking for a careful and capable finance professional to support accurate accounting records, effective financial controls and reliable financial operations in Brazil.
As Finance Officer (Accounts), you will support payroll, accounts payable, transaction processing, reconciliations, cash-flow forecasting, statutory accounts and audit activity. You will work closely with finance colleagues and teams across the organisation to ensure processes are timely, accurate and compliant.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a global Finance team, improve day-to-day processes and provide the dependable financial information and support that enables our mission.
What will you be doing?
Processing financial transactions accurately and completing balance-sheet and bank reconciliations.
Supporting accounts payable, payroll, cash-flow forecasting and statutory accounts activity.
Managing finance queries and supporting budget holders with relevant policies and processes.
Working with external auditors and helping maintain appropriate financial records and controls.
Supporting finance systems, including Microsoft Business Central, and helping users work effectively with them.
Identifying process gaps and working with finance colleagues to improve operational delivery.
We we are looking for
We would love to hear from you if you bring:
Relevant experience in financial operations within a comparable organisation, including month-end closure processing.
Experience using Microsoft Business Central or equivalent accounting software.
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
Experience of financial transaction processing, reconciliations and accounts payable activity.
Understanding of multicurrency accounting and the importance of robust financial controls.
Strong attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving and a responsive service approach.
