Role Description The AI Software Engineer contract role is a remote position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining AI-driven software solutions that support Effulgent Inc’s clients and internal products. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and optimizing machine learning models, implementing neural network architectures, and integrating natural language processing (NLP) features into applications. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver scalable, production-ready code. Additional tasks include conducting experiments, performing data-driven model evaluations, improving pattern recognition capabilities, and ensuring software quality through testing, documentation, and best engineering practices.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and modern development practices.
Hands-on experience with Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition, with a focus on training, tuning, and deploying models in real-world environments.
Practical expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), such as text classification, information extraction, conversational AI, or language modeling.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in AI (e.g., Python, Java, or C++), and familiarity with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar tools.
Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a commitment to inclusive and ethical AI practices.
