Automation Test Engineer

Role Description The Automation Test Engineer role is a part-time remote position focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of software and embedded systems supporting the company’s products and operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks, as well as executing tests to validate functionality, performance, and integration. The role involves creating and reviewing test cases, analyzing results, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers and product teams to resolve issues. The engineer will document test procedures and outcomes, contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, and help maintain test environments and tools. This position requires effective communication, self-management, and the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
Qualifications
Strong test engineering skills, including experience designing and implementing automation frameworks and tools.
Hands-on experience with test execution and test cases, including planning, running, and maintaining automated and manual test suites.
Solid understanding of software testing principles and practices, with experience in functional testing and regression testing.
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages commonly used for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and clearly document defects and recommendations.
Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience in electrical/electronic or manufacturing domains and familiarity with embedded systems testing is an advantage.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a remote, part-time capacity.
