About the Role
We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to own the Cloud Network & Security posture of our production infrastructure. This role suits someone coming from a strong NOC/SOC or network engineering background who wants to work at the intersection of network security and cloud infrastructure, within a 24x7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Own WAF, firewall, and network security architecture across production environments.
· Design and manage network security rules, and traffic filtering (Cloudflare or similar).
· Monitor network traffic and lead detection/response for network and security-related incidents.
· Drive network and cloud security hardening initiatives and vulnerability management.
· Gradually build exposure to AWS infrastructure and DevOps practices.
· Mentor junior engineers on networking and security best practices.
· Support compliance requirements (PCI DSS, RBI PA-PG) related to network and cloud security.
Required Qualifications & Skills
· 3-5 years of experience in network security, NOC/SOC operations, or network engineering.
· Deep understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs, load balancing).
· Hands-on experience with WAF and DDoS mitigation (Cloudflare experience strongly preferred).
· Experience with firewall configuration and traffic filtering rules.
· Experience with SIEM tools and security monitoring.
· Proven experience working in 24x7 on-call environments.
· Openness to learning AWS infrastructure and DevOps practices (training and mentorship provided).
· Experience with compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, RBI PA-PG) is a strong plus.
Preferred Qualifications
· Basic exposure to AWS (EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
· Scripting knowledge (Bash, Python) for automation.
· Experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, banking, or financial services.
· Familiarity with payment gateways, merchant acquiring, or e-commerce ecosystems.
· Exposure to solution-based or consultative selling.
· Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Comfort working in high-growth, performance-driven environments.
