Logistics Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Logistics experience person
QUALIFICATION
Graduate with post qualification experience of 5 to 7 years in logistics, import management, order management, SVB support, Transportation and Warehousing
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and coordinate local dispatches and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Track and monitor import shipments from order placement through final delivery.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, transporters, and other logistics partners for import shipments.
Handle and maintain import documentation, including shipping and related commercial documents.
Coordinate with overseas suppliers regarding order status, shipment schedules, documentation, and delivery timelines.
Prepare and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and support order processing activities.
Prepare material/order forecasts based on business requirements and coordinate with suppliers accordingly.
Plan shipments considering delivery schedules, material requirements, lead time, and logistics timelines.
Prepare and maintain regular MIS reports related to logistics, shipments, orders, imports, and deliveries.
Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained for all logistics and import transactions.
Prepare/check E-Way Bills and ensure compliance with applicable requirements for local movements.
Coordinate with internal departments such as Purchase, Finance, Sales, Warehouse, and Operations for smooth order and shipment execution.
Follow up on pending shipments, delays, documentation issues, and delivery schedules and provide timely updates to management.
Maintain proper records of shipment status, pending orders, deliveries, and import-related activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong analytical and accounting skills.
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience in Logistics, Import Operations, Supply Chain, or Order Management.
Hands-on experience with Tally Prime.
Good knowledge of Import Documentation and Import Shipment Processes.
Working knowledge of Order Management and Purchase Order processes.
Knowledge of Shipment Planning and Tracking.
Good understanding of E-Way Bill generation and related compliance.
Experience in coordinating with overseas suppliers will be preferred.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and MIS preparation/reporting.
Strong follow-up, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments/orders simultaneously and meet timelines.
