Lead User Interface Designer

We're Hiring: UI Lead

Good UI is invisible. Great UI is the thing that makes a product feel right — responsive, consistent, considered. That's what you build.
We're looking for a UI Lead to own our UI systems and interaction design craft. You'll design high-fidelity flows, build and maintain component libraries, and ensure every product we ship has consistency and intention behind its interface.
What you'll actually do:
Design high-fidelity interfaces and interaction patterns across projects
Own and evolve our design systems — components, tokens, documentation
Audit and improve UI consistency across the design team's work
Mentor 2–3 designers on UI thinking, accessibility, and component patterns
Partner with product and engineering on handoff specs and implementation support
Lead UI reviews and set standards for interaction quality
Who we're looking for:
6–8 years designing user interfaces, ideally across multiple product types
A portfolio that shows your systems thinking and interaction craft
Deep knowledge of: component design, design systems, accessibility (WCAG), responsive patterns
Leadership experience (led reviews, mentored designers on UI craft, owned quality standards)
Mastery of Figma — you can build, document, and scale in it
Able to communicate UI decisions clearly to PMs, engineers, and stakeholders
Growth mindset — excited to develop others and evolve best practices
