Role Description
The Computer Science Editor will be responsible for reviewing and editing computer science manuscripts for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with academic curricula and publishing standards.
Day-to-day tasks include evaluating content structure, checking technical correctness, coordinating with authors and subject matter experts, and ensuring that manuscripts are ready for production and publication.
The role involves working closely with the editorial and production teams to manage timelines, integrate feedback, and maintain consistency across related titles and series.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, requiring regular collaboration with colleagues and participation in internal editorial discussions and planning.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong manuscript evaluation and editorial skills, including experience handling academic or technical manuscripts.
Candidates should possess solid science and computer science knowledge, preferably supported by a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Candidates should possess excellent writing and language skills for refining explanations, examples, and pedagogical content.
Candidates should possess research abilities and familiarity with academic publications and curriculum requirements.
Attention to detail, strong proofreading skills, and the ability to ensure factual and conceptual accuracy.
Prior experience in educational publishing or textbook development is highly beneficial.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with authors, reviewers, and internal teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to curriculum and syllabus updates.
