Senior GNC Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and continuously advance the onboard guidance, navigation, and flight-control software that powers our UAV platforms, contributing to the design-to-deployment journey of next-generation unmanned systems.
Refine and tune the state-estimation and navigation solution, integrating additional correction sources to enhance accuracy and reliability across complex operating conditions.
Validate new and existing navigation capabilities through rigorous, structured bench testing, upholding the technical excellence that defines our engineering culture.
Collaborate closely with the mechanical engineering team to shape structural and flight-envelope parameters, bringing flight-control expertise into cross-functional, cross-disciplinary design decisions.
Own hardware-in-the-loop test integration and regression testing for guidance and control software, ensuring system integrity as capabilities evolve.
Champion sound engineering practice by building on proven flight-controller functionality rather than duplicating it — reflecting a mindset of continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Qualification:
B.Tech/M.Tech in Aerospace, Robotics, Controls, or related field
5+ years of experience developing flight control or guidance software for UAVs or autonomous vehicles
Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++, with hands-on experience in a widely-used autopilot/flight-controller ecosystem (e.g., PX4, ArduPilot)
Practical experience with state estimation and guidance/navigation laws
Good to have:
Experience with terrain-referenced or vision-aided navigation
Contribution history on an open-source autopilot project
Prior work on safety-critical autonomous platforms
