Sage 100 ERP Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sage 100 Developer to take ownership of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy custom modifications, automation scripts, and third-party integrations. Your main objective will be to optimize business workflows across departments—including finance, inventory, and operations—while maintaining data integrity and system stability.
Core Responsibilities
System Customization: Design and implement custom screens, tables, and fields within Sage 100 using Custom Office tools.
API & External Integration: Develop robust integrations between Sage 100 and third-party software (such as e-commerce platforms, WMS, CRM, and shipping software) utilizing the Business Object Interface (BOI).
Process Automation: Write efficient VBScript logic and event-driven scripts to automate manual database routines and improve business workflows.
Reporting & Analytics: Create, modify, and optimize complex financial and operational reports using Crystal Reports and SQL queries.
System Maintenance & Support: Troubleshoot software glitches, manage data migrations, and perform regular system updates or version upgrades.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on software development experience specifically working with Sage 100 (formerly MAS 90/200).
Core API: Deep knowledge of Sage 100’s Business Object Interface (BOI) and COM integration.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in VBScript, SQL, and at least one object-oriented language like C#, C++, or Python.
Database & Reporting: Strong knowledge of SQL Server, database indexing, and Crystal Reports.
ERP Architecture: Firm understanding of core ERP modules, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Inventory Management (IM), and Sales Order (SO).
Preferred Soft Skills
Problem-Solving: Strong debugging and analytical skills to resolve complex database or logic conflicts.
Communication: Ability to gather technical requirements from non-technical stakeholders across the company.
Detail-Oriented: A strict focus on data safety, ensuring customizations do not bypass Sage's underlying business rules.
