Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Role Description:
Senior Azure DevOps Engineer with 8-10 years of experience.
To be responsible for Azure infrastructure migration, customer-hosted deployments, troubleshooting, and production support. The role will lead the transition of solutions from cloud-hosted environments to customer-managed Azure infrastructure while ensuring reliable deployments, security, monitoring, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities: Lead Azure infrastructure migration and transition from cloud-hosted to customer-hosted environments.
Plan and execute customer Azure deployments, infrastructure setup, and configuration.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, networking, and application issues.
Manage Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines across environments.
Support production deployments, upgrades, patches, and emergency fixes.
Implement monitoring, alerting, performance optimization, and root-cause analysis.
Support Docker/Kubernetes environments and infrastructure automation.
Ensure security hardening, vulnerability remediation, backup/restore, and Disaster Recovery readiness.
Provide on-call production support and coordinate resolution of critical incidents.
Work directly with customer technical teams during migrations, deployments, and production issues.
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across DevOps and Azure operations.
Core Qualifications:
8-10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering.
Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
Proven experience with Azure infrastructure migration and customer-hosted environments.
Strong experience with CI/CD, deployment automation, and production troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Terraform/ARM, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of Azure networking, compute, storage, monitoring, and security.
Experience supporting production environments and on-call operations.
Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, backup/restore, and security hardening.
Strong scripting/automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Excellent customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to take ownership of complex technical issues and drive them through resolution.
Preferred:Experience working with enterprise customers and customer-managed infrastructure.
Experience with multi-region/high-availability Azure environments.
Azure certification or equivalent cloud certification.
Experience with security/compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or CIS.
I think this is much closer to what the client is actually asking for than the first version. The phrases I'd particularly use for sourcing are Azure infrastructure migration + customer-hosted Azure + troubleshooting + production/on-call support.
