About the Role
We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Analysts / Associates to support our Direct Tax practice. This role is ideal for freshers or early-career professionals who are keen to build a strong foundation in tax research, documentation, and litigation support.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
Conduct detailed research on provisions of the Income Tax Act, allied tax laws, rules, circulars, and notifications.
Study and analyze relevant judicial precedents from various forums including ITAT, High Courts, and Supreme Court to support ongoing matters.
Assist in identifying key legal issues in assigned cases and prepare structured summaries of findings.
Support senior team members by providing research inputs for assessments, appeals, and advisory assignments.
Track and compile updates on changes in tax laws, judicial developments, and regulatory amendments.
Prepare concise research notes and reference materials to assist in litigation and advisory work.
Documentation
Assist in preparing, drafting, and maintaining accurate and well-organized documentation for direct tax matters.
Support in drafting basic submissions, internal notes, case summaries, and communication drafts under supervision.
Ensure all documents are properly formatted, structured, and aligned with internal quality standards.
Maintain updated records of ongoing matters, filings, and correspondence for easy retrieval and reference.
Assist in compiling supporting documents required for assessments, appeals, and litigation proceedings.
Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and consistency in all documentation-related tasks.
Case Compilation
Collect, compile, and organize case laws, financial data, and supporting evidence relevant to assigned matters.
Assist in preparing complete case files for assessments, appeals, and litigation proceedings.
Ensure proper indexing and structuring of case documents for smooth reference by senior team members.
Maintain systematic record management of ongoing and past cases for efficient retrieval.
Support senior associates and subject matter experts in preparing case briefs and summaries.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all required documents and data are accurately compiled and updated.
Qualifications & Skills
LLB is mandatory
1–3 years of relevant experience.
Basic understanding of direct tax concepts.
Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
