## About the Role
Amazon is seeking an **IT Support Engineer I** to provide technical support and implement IT solutions across Amazon Operations sites within a defined geographical area. Operations Technology Solutions supports Amazon's global operations through IT infrastructure support, technology development, and technical solutions that help maintain reliable business operations.
In this role, you will troubleshoot and resolve issues involving computer hardware, operating systems, enterprise applications, networking, and computing infrastructure. You will support both local and remote customers, manage technical projects, identify root causes of operational issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes and solutions.
## Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot and support network infrastructure, data cabling, computer systems, and software/hardware environments.
* Perform systems administration and technical troubleshooting across multiple IT environments.
* Maintain the availability of networking and computing infrastructure during production hours.
* Provide analytical and technical assistance to management and staff.
* Support continuous improvement of IT solutions, processes, and operational efficiency.
* Manage local technical IT projects.
* Create and maintain IT policies, procedures, and processes.
* Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
* Provide technical support to customers across multiple buildings and remote locations.
* Travel within the local or regional area to support customers.
* Move equipment weighing up to 49 lbs and remain standing or walking during shifts of up to 12 hours.
## Required Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 2+ years of professional experience.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, **or** experience in one or more IT-related areas such as:
* Networking
* Linux administration
* Microsoft administration
* Cisco network configuration and management
* 2+ years of troubleshooting experience in a multi-user, high-availability environment.
