Estimation Engineer – Designation & Role
Designation: Estimation Engineer
Department: Estimation / Pre-Sales / Tendering
Reporting To: Estimation Manager / Head – Estimation / Project Head
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and quantity take-offs for civil and structural repair projects.
Study drawings, specifications, tender documents and scope of work.
Prepare material, labour, equipment and subcontractor cost estimates.
Obtain and compare quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
Prepare rate analysis and project-wise costing.
Support the tendering team in preparing commercial bids and quotations.
Coordinate with Site, Purchase, Projects and Design teams for technical and commercial inputs.
Conduct site visits to understand actual site conditions and validate quantities.
Maintain estimation records, cost databases and historical project rates.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project requirements.
Assist in tender negotiations and client queries related to estimates.
Ensure estimates are accurate and submitted within the required timelines.
Preferred Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Experience: 2–6 years in estimation, tendering or quantity surveying, preferably in civil/structural repair or construction.
