Business Modeling & Analytics Analyst

About the Role
We are looking for a strong analytical professional with 3–4 years of experience who is highly proficient in Advanced Excel, business modeling, data analysis, and management reporting.
The role will involve working with complex and sometimes unstructured datasets, building robust and flexible models, and creating multiple analytical views to support business planning and management decision-making.
The ideal candidate should be able to understand a business requirement, structure the underlying data, build a scalable analytical model, and translate detailed information into clear and meaningful management outputs.
Key Responsibilities
· Build and maintain advanced Excel-based business, operational, and financial models.
· Structure and consolidate data from multiple sources into reliable analytical models.
· Develop flexible models that allow users to analyze information across different dimensions, scenarios, and time periods.
· Create multiple management cuts and views from a common underlying dataset without rebuilding the analysis each time.
· Perform detailed analysis, including trends, variances, scenarios, drivers, and movement across different periods.
· Develop dashboards, summary views, and management reporting outputs from detailed underlying data.
· Support business planning, forecasting, target setting, and other analytical requirements.
· Work with stakeholders to understand business questions and translate them into structured analytical solutions.
· Identify data inconsistencies, gaps, and reconciliation issues and ensure accuracy of model outputs.
· Improve and automate recurring Excel-based analysis and reporting processes.
· Ensure models are well structured, scalable, easy to update, and auditable.
Required Skills
· Strong hands-on expertise in Advanced Excel.
· Excellent knowledge of Excel formulas and functions including XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, logical formulas, dynamic formulas, and Pivot Tables.
· Good working knowledge of Power Query and handling large datasets.
· Strong understanding of business and financial modeling concepts.
· Ability to structure complex datasets and build models with clear inputs, assumptions, calculations, and outputs.
· Strong analytical and numerical problem-solving skills.
· Ability to create different analytical views and scenarios from a common data model.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to validate and reconcile data.
· Ability to translate detailed analysis into simple and clear management insights.
· Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Good Power Point/ Presentation skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience in areas such as business analytics, financial analysis, consulting, strategy, business planning, operational efficiency, or transformation would be preferred.
Experience with Power Pivot, VBA/macros, or other Excel automation capabilities would be an added advantage.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
