Location: Norwich-based, with regular in-office presence (willingness to travel to London, Manchester, and Hamburg as required)
THE ROLE:
In this role, you will own and develop core People & Culture operations across three UK locations, creating consistent and scalable HR processes while supporting the needs of each local team. You’ll manage everything from payroll and HR systems to employee relations and performance management, acting as a trusted partner to both employees and people managers.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unify and administer HRIS across all three locations.
- Independently run payroll for all three UK entities.
- Build and own administrative HR processes (contracts, onboarding, off-boarding, employee files, compliance) and policies from scratch, tailored to local needs and aligned with group standards.
- Roll out and advise people managers and employees on performance management, individual cases, and all People & Culture topics.
- Mediate and provide supervision in interpersonal or employment-related conflict situations.
- Brief and coach people managers on leadership topics and HR processes.
- Act as the main point of contact for all employee belonging topics and processes.
- Work hands-on day to day, with regular presence across all three sites and the Hamburg headquarters.
WHAT YOU OFFER US:
- Several years of experience as an HR/People & Culture Generalist, ideally within the UK market.
- Solid knowledge of UK payroll and UK employment law.
- Experience building HR structures and processes in growing or newly integrated organisations (e.g. post-M&A, in start-ups or scale-ups).
- Hands-on experience implementing or unifying HRIS systems.
- Confident handling of performance management processes, plus experience in mediation and conflict resolution.
- Strong hands-on mentality, self-initiative, and enjoyment of building structures from scratch.
- Strong communication and advisory skills with managers and employees at all levels.
- Willingness to travel between London, Manchester, and Hamburg.
- Fluent English, spoken and written.
