Melbourne Based X-Ray Engineer

InMed Healthcare is a leading specialist supplier in the Diagnostic Imaging sector, a nationwide presence, with service and sales teams across various states of Australia. Focusing on the sale and servicing of a wide range of Medical Imaging and Medical Physics Equipment, they take pride in being market leaders in nearly all of their chosen fields. Their product range includes Bone Densitometry, Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, Digital X-Ray and Medical Physics Equipment including Radiation Detection.
Due to expansion, we are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Service Engineer to join our Melbourne team, offering the flexibility to work remotely as part of the role.
Your duties:
· Liaising with customers on a time critical basis
· Maintain detailed service records (written and electronic)
· Provide timely advice and consultation for equipment repairs (on-site and via phone)
· Manage Spare Parts Inventory
· Diagnose and repair equipment
· Occasional travel across Australia and New Zealand for customer support
· Install and commission equipment at customer sites
· Follow up and maintain an active service database
Critical to this position:
· A tertiary or equivalent degree in electronics (Or substantial electronics experience)
· Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams
· Experience servicing diagnostic X-Ray and medical imaging equipment
· Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to explain solutions to customers and other engineers
· Strong work ethic and loyalty
· Excellent time management and multitasking skills
· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
· Flexibility with travel and working hours
· Proficient in IT (Windows, Word, Excel)
· Professional appearance
· Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain one)
· Clean criminal record
· English as a first language
Important to note:
· A salary package commensurate with experience and knowledge will be offered including a car allowance, work uniform and service tools
The role covers territories all over Australia and New Zealand, so overnight travel during and after business hours will be required.
