Infosys Consulting is seeking an accomplished Senior Principal or Associate Partner to join our Medical Devices sub-practice, with a primary focus on R&D and product development transformation. This is first and foremost an advisory, business-development-oriented role: the right candidate brings executive presence and structured problem-solving to originate and sell engagements across the medtech value chain, while remaining credible enough in R&D and product development to lead delivery when staffed.
What will you do?

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior R&D and product development client executives, bringing structured problem-solving and executive-level communication to shape transformation agendas.
Proactively identify and pursue opportunities across the medtech value chain ahead of formal RFPs, including in adjacent domains such as PMO, Data/AI, and Lab Operations where the individual may be staffed, building senior relationships that create demand for engagements.
Lead sales pursuits and business development, including proposal development, solutioning, and executive client presentations, in partnership with account and practice leadership.
When staffed on a delivery engagement, lead transformation programs within R&D and product development functions, covering the end-to-end development lifecycle, including quality and regulatory considerations, and digital/connected-device enablement.
Maintain broad fluency across the medtech value chain, including commercial, digital, and manufacturing operations, to hold credible conversations outside one's core specialty.
Apply consulting craft, including value realization, process re-engineering, design thinking, agile delivery, and organizational change management, to client engagements.
Develop and publish thought leadership; represent Infosys Consulting at industry conferences and analyst forums.
Coach and mentor junior consultants; foster a culture of collaboration, growth, and innovation within the practice.
Travel up to 4 days a week to client sites as needed.
What are we looking for:
Minimum 15 years of experience in the medical devices industry, spanning R&D, product development, or related consulting functions.
Demonstrated consulting and business-development orientation, including prior experience in client-facing consulting, advisory, or internal business-partnering capacity, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders without formal authority.
A demonstrated hunter instinct: a track record of pursuing opportunities that were not formally assigned, including expanding scope on a live engagement, building an internal business case that won funding, or convincing a stakeholder to back an unbudgeted idea.
Working fluency in the medical device product development lifecycle, including quality systems, regulatory pathways (EU MDR/IVDR, FDA 21 CFR, ISO 13485), and digital/connected-device enablement, sufficient to lead executive conversations and shape engagements, not to personally execute technical workstreams.
Strong executive communication, structured problem-solving, and client relationship management skills, with experience engaging C-suite and senior functional leaders.
Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related discipline, or an MBA.
Additional consulting competencies desired: value realization, design thinking, process re-engineering, agile delivery and scaled agile frameworks, roadmap development, and operating model design.
Ability to lead cross-functional, global teams and deliver high-impact transformation programs.
