Role Description The Pharmacist at BALAJI HOSPITAL is a full-time, on-site role based in Sangareddi. The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions, verify dosages, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies. Daily responsibilities include counseling patients and caregivers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize pharmacotherapy. The Pharmacist will manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, check expiry dates, and support procurement processes to ensure medicine availability. The role also involves maintaining detailed records, participating in medication reconciliation, supporting clinical audits, and contributing to quality and safety initiatives within the hospital.
Qualifications
Recognized degree or diploma in Pharmacy and valid registration with the appropriate pharmacy council.
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and hospital pharmacy procedures.
Ability to dispense medications accurately, maintain detailed documentation, and follow regulatory and safety standards.
Effective communication and counseling skills for interacting with patients, families, and the clinical team.
Organizational and time-management skills for handling multiple prescriptions, inventory management, and record-keeping.
Comfort with using basic computer systems and hospital information software related to pharmacy operations.
Commitment to ethical practice, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach to care.
Prior experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred but not mandatory for otherwise qualified candidates.
