About the Role:
At OPSinnovate, we partner with leading organizations across Germany on critical SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes. We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer to join our talent pool and project pipelines.
In this role, you will focus on custom development, legacy code remediation, and building clean core extensions using modern ABAP frameworks (RAP, CDS, Fiori) for enterprise migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and extend S/4HANA applications using ABAP Objects, RAP, and CDS views.
• Remediate and refactor legacy custom code for S/4HANA compatibility (SAP Readiness Check / Custom Code Migration).
• Build and consume OData services (V2/V4) for SAP Fiori and external interfaces.
• Implement Clean Core extensibility (in-app and side-by-side) to avoid modifying standard SAP code.
• Optimize ABAP performance using code pushdown techniques to the HANA database.
• Develop unit tests with ABAP Unit and support automated testing and transport management.
What We Are Looking For:
• 3+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience with demonstrable S/4HANA project work.
• Hands-on proficiency with ABAP Objects, CDS Views, AMDP, and RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model).
• Practical experience with custom code adaptation during ECC-to-S/4HANA conversions.
• Experience with OData service development and SAP Fiori/SAPUI5 integration.
• Functional knowledge in at least one core module (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, or EWM).
• Language: B2+ German proficiency for German client projects (English for international rollouts).
Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with SAP BTP ABAP Environment (Steampunk) or ABAP Cloud.
• SAP Certification in ABAP for S/4HANA.
• Experience with ADT in Eclipse, abapGit, or front-end SAPUI5/JavaScript development.
