Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role in Karnal for a Cyber Security Specialist with web developer and software developer responsibilities. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining secure web applications and software components, including both front-end and back-end functionality. The specialist will implement security best practices, perform vulnerability assessments, monitor systems for threats, and collaborate with development teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle. Daily tasks include coding, reviewing code for security issues, configuring and hardening servers and applications, documenting technical solutions, and supporting troubleshooting and incident response. The role also includes working with stakeholders to understand requirements, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with relevant security standards.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Web Development and Web Applications, with experience building and maintaining secure, scalable solutions.
Proficiency in Front-End Development, including modern frameworks, responsive design, and secure client-side coding practices.
Expertise in Back-End Web Development, focusing on server-side logic, APIs, databases, and secure data handling.
Solid foundation in Software Development principles, including object-oriented programming, version control, testing, and documentation.
Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, such as network security, encryption, authentication, access control, and secure configuration.
Experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability scanning, and remediation of security findings.
Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and manage multiple tasks on-site.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CEH, Security+, or similar) are an advantage.
