Senior Devops Engineer

Job Title: Sr. DevOps Engineer
Experience: 7-10yrs
Location: Chennai
Responsibilities
Design and develop user-facing features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
Build and maintain server-side applications and APIs using languages like JavaScript (Node.js), Python, Java, or other relevant technologies
Create and optimize databases and ensure seamless data flow between client and server
Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following industry best practices
Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes
Containerize applications using Docker and manage containers with orchestration tools like Kubernetes
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues across the entire stack
Write scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
Stay current with emerging technologies and suggest improvements to our tech stack
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language (Node.js, Python, Java, etc.)
Very good hands-on scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
Strong cloud skills with experience in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Basic understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
Understanding of security best practices for web applications
Experience with agile development methodologies
Contributions to open-source projects
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
