About the Opportunity:
The SENIOR BACKEND ENGINEER role focuses on building backend infrastructure for an AI security product that monitors AI assets, assesses risks, and delivers actionable insights. This position is critical for ensuring secure, compliant AI deployment and advancing cybersecurity capabilities by developing scalable, secure server-side applications and APIs.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs
Implement and optimize database schemas, queries, and data storage solutions
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
Implement security and data protection measures
Deploy and manage backend services using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Contribute to the development of microservices architecture
Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and best practices
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript
Experience with database management
Skilled in developing and integrating RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus
Experience designing and implementing microservices
Knowledge of scalability and performance optimization including caching and message queues
Experience with authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms
Strong problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Base Salary Range $132,000—$182,000 USD (varies by candidate location; specific ranges provided during recruiting process)
