The Role
We're looking for a Canada-based engineer to install and upgrade Nokia NSP (Network Services Platform) environments for our client engagements — new greenfield deployments as well as version upgrades of existing NSP/NFM-P platforms. This is a project-based contract role with Telence, working alongside our broader Nokia practice.
What You'll Do
Install and configure Nokia NSP application clusters, including OS/Kubernetes prerequisites, platform software, and license activation
Upgrade existing NSP/NFM-P environments to target releases, with pre-upgrade backups, compatibility checks, and tested rollback plans
Integrate NSP with client network elements for discovery, provisioning, and fault/performance monitoring
Configure high availability, clustering, database, and northbound interfaces per client architecture
Run functional and integration testing post-install/upgrade and resolve defects prior to client acceptance
Deliver knowledge-transfer sessions and handover documentation to client operations teams
What You'll Need
Current Nokia NSP / SR OS certification (SRA a strong plus)
Hands-on experience with NSP and NFM-P installs, upgrades, or both
Solid IP/MPLS networking fundamentals
Based in Canada, with eligibility to work in Canada
Willingness to travel to client sites in Canada and the U.S. as engagements require (some client sites have restricted or air-gapped access requirements, subject to that client's specific policies)
Nice to Have
Utility or service-provider network experience
Familiarity with Kubernetes-based platform deployments
Multi-vendor exposure (Cisco, Ciena, Juniper) alongside Nokia
