Role Description As a Texturing Artist at Zentroid Studios, you will create high-quality textures for low-poly and render-ready 3D models used in AR, VR, virtual try-ons, and 360-degree product viewers. You will work closely with modelers and lighting artists to develop UV layouts, apply materials, and ensure visual consistency across digital assets. Daily responsibilities include painting and refining textures, optimizing texture resolution and file formats for real-time performance, and aligning outputs with project style guides and client requirements. You will participate in review cycles, incorporate feedback from art leads and clients, and maintain organized texture libraries and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, requiring close collaboration with the studio team.
Qualifications
Proficiency in texturing tools such as Substance Painter/Designer, Adobe Photoshop, and similar applications, with strong skills in hand-painted and realistic texture creation.
Solid understanding of 3D workflows, including UV unwrapping, baking maps (normal, ambient occlusion, curvature), and working with 3D packages like Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
Experience creating optimized textures for real-time engines and AR/VR platforms, preferably with familiarity in Unity or Unreal Engine.
Ability to interpret art direction, follow style guides, and collaborate effectively with modelers, technical artists, and project managers.
Strong portfolio demonstrating texture work for characters, products, or environments, ideally including low-poly and PBR examples.
Good visual sense of color, material properties, and surface detail, with attention to consistency and quality across multiple assets.
Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment, managing deadlines, and adapting to evolving client needs and feedback.
Relevant education in Animation, Game Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in 3D art and texturing.
