Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience to develop and coordinate mechanical system layouts, ensure compliance with international standards, and deliver integrated design solutions for major building projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and validate mechanical system designs and calculations for HVAC, water supply, and fire protection in accordance with project requirements and global codes.
Develop and review technical drawings, schematics, equipment schedules, and design documentation.
Select and specify mechanical equipment based on project analysis, performance data, and regulatory standards.
Liaise with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines for effective spatial coordination and integrated system design.
Lead the preparation of BOQs, technical submittals, and support procurement and construction documentation.
Support clash detection, resolve technical queries (RFIs), and contribute to internal design reviews and project milestones.
Stay updated on industry best practices, contribute to process improvements, and mentor junior team members.
Technical / Must-Have Skills
Advanced proficiency in mechanical design (HVAC, WS/PL, fire protection) and use of AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit.
Strong command of international standards/codes (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NFPA, IPC) and familiarity with Gulf/US/UK practices.
Proficient in engineering tools (such as HAP, Elite Fire, TRACE, MS Excel-based design templates).
Strong documentation, analytical, and technical communication skills.
Demonstrated coordination with cross-functional teams and adaptability to new tools.
Education
Diploma or B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering,
