About the Role : We are looking for a hands-on Senior Backend Software Engineer or Data Engineer to support the implementation and customization of a packaged software product for enterprise customers.
This role is ideal for someone who can understand a packaged product, work with customer-specific data and integrations, troubleshoot issues, and develop practical solutions when the standard product capabilities need to be extended.
The role requires strong technical fundamentals, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently during U.S. hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and configure a packaged software product for customer environments.
Develop backend scripts, APIs, data transformations, and integrations as required.
Work with customer databases and data sources to support product implementation.
Analyze differences between source and target systems and design appropriate data-migration or transformation solutions.
Troubleshoot integration, data, and application issues.
Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Work closely with U.S.-based product, engineering, and implementation teams.
Clearly document technical solutions, implementation steps, and issues.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow through independently.
Participate in customer and internal discussions when technical clarification is required.
Must Have Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer (Backend), Data Engineer, or similar role.
Strong hands-on programming and problem-solving experience.
Experience working with APIs, databases, data transformation, and backend systems.
Ability to explain technical projects and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical skills and ability to break down ambiguous requirements into practical technical solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
Available to work U.S. night-shift hours.
Available to start immediately or within 2 weeks.
Good to Have:
Experience with Python.
Experience implementing enterprise software or packaged products.
Experience with ETL/data migration or system integrations.
Experience working directly with customers or implementation teams.
What We Are Looking For
This is a hands-on implementation role, not simply a coordination or support position. We want someone who can understand a requirement, think through the solution, and write the code when needed.
Because this position requires U.S. night-shift hours, reliability and commitment to the work schedule are particularly important. Candidates should be comfortable with the schedule and able to consistently work during the agreed hours.
Working Hours: Comfortable working in the 5:30 PM IST – 2:30 AM IST shift.
