Payments Operations – Market Expansion Operational Readiness - Senior Associate

This is an opportunity to play a central role in delivering the operational capabilities required to support J.P. Morgan's expansion across EMEA.
As a Senior Associate in the Market Expansion Operational Readiness (MEOR) team within Corporate and Investment Banking Operations, you will work closely with a MEOR Lead to support end-to-end delivery for an assigned market. You will own defined milestones from initial planning and coordination through to the creation and delivery of the underlying readiness artefacts. The team is responsible for a combination of direct MEOR milestones and milestones federated to Corporate and Investment Banking Operations, Corporate Operations Support, Controls Oversight & Development, Product, Technology, and local branch teams.
You will help promote both sets of milestones, ensuring requirements are clearly understood, ownership is well-defined, and delivery remains aligned to the overall market expansion plan. You will also contribute to industrializing the MEOR Playbook by leveraging AI and digital tools to enhance how the team captures requirements, produces artefacts, manages milestones, and reuses knowledge across EMEA market expansions.
Job Responsibilities
Support end-to-end operational readiness delivery for an assigned EMEA market.
Own defined MEOR milestones and artefacts from planning through completion.
Coordinate federated milestones across functions, identifying gaps and dependencies.
Gather and document business, operational, regulatory and control requirements.
Create process maps, target operating models, requirements and readiness assessments.
Work closely with Product, Technology, equivalent COEs and local branch teams.
Maintain clear milestone, action, risk, issue and decision tracking.
Present delivery status, analysis and recommendations in working and governance forums.
Convert lessons learned into reusable standards and AI-enabled playbook content.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Experience in business analysis, operations, change delivery or operational readiness.
Ability to own defined deliverables and drive them through to completion.
Strong analytical skills and understanding of cross-functional dependencies.
Experience creating process, requirements, operating-model or implementation artefacts.
Structured planning, problem-solving and information-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication, with confidence presenting on calls.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Strong attention to detail and risk and control awareness.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Experience within CIB Operations, COS, CO&D, Product, Technology or transformation.
Exposure to Payments, Lending, Markets, Trade, KYC or client onboarding.
Experience supporting branch expansion, market entry or regulatory change.
Experience producing process maps, target operating models or business requirements.
Familiarity with AI, process-mapping or programme-management tools.
Experience working across global teams and regions.
