Full Stack Web Developer (MERN)

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Full Stack Web Developer (MERN) at Inquiry Nepal. The developer will design, build, and maintain web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js), focusing on both front-end user interfaces and back-end APIs. Day-to-day tasks include implementing new features, optimizing performance, fixing bugs, and ensuring scalability and reliability of the business directory platform. The role involves collaborating with product and design teams, integrating third-party services, writing clean and testable code, and participating in code reviews. The developer will also help improve development workflows, contribute to technical documentation, and ensure security and data integrity across the application.
Qualifications
Strong Full-Stack Development and Software Development skills, particularly with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
Proficiency in Front-End Development, including modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive and accessible user interfaces.
Experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful API design, authentication/authorization, and database modeling with NoSQL or relational databases.
Solid understanding of version control (Git), testing frameworks, and best practices for code quality and maintainability.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage time independently.
Familiarity with performance optimization, security best practices, and deployment pipelines (e.g., CI/CD, cloud hosting) is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
