Product Operations & Contract Governance Director

The Product Operations & Contract Governance Director owns the governance, compliance, and performance framework for product-related operations and supplier contracts. This role ensures contractual obligations, inventory and POS reporting, supplier stock rotation, and related product operations are executed with discipline, accountability, and measurable business impact. You will drive transparency, reduce risk, and improve operational performance by partnering closely with Product Acquisition, Part Data Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT. This is a fully remote position and may be based anywhere within the United States.
Responsibilities
Contract Management & Governance
Own the enterprise governance framework for supplier contracts and product-related operational obligations, ensuring full compliance with contractual terms, reporting requirements, and internal controls.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate contract and compliance risks through monitoring, root-cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
Lead resolution of high-impact contractual and supplier issues that affect revenue, customer commitments, product availability, or strategic goals.
Ensure supplier commitments and operational deliverables are executed in alignment with contractual, financial, and customer requirements.
Product Operations Performance & Accountability
Provide strategic oversight for mission-critical product operations, including inventory and POS reporting, supplier payments, contract implementation, and supplier stock rotation programs.
Direct end-to-end strategy and execution of supplier stock rotation and related product lifecycle processes.
Define and own KPIs, service-level expectations, and executive scorecards that create transparency and drive performance across product operations.
Partner with Product Acquisition and Part Data Management to ensure operational processes support accurate product data, availability, and commercial objectives.
Automation & Process Excellence
Define and drive an automation roadmap focused on product operations and contract workflows that reduces manual effort, minimizes errors, increases capacity, and improves performance.
Partner with Business Systems and IT to standardize product operations, contract monitoring, and reporting processes.
Quantify and communicate the value of automation in efficiency, accuracy, compliance, scalability, and resource utilization.
Analytics & Executive Insights
Build and maintain executive dashboards that provide clear visibility into contract compliance, product operations health, inventory/POS performance, business impact, and emerging risks.
Use data and insights to shape priorities, guide investment decisions, and drive continuous improvement in product operations and contract management.
Deliver clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership on contract performance, operational risks, and strategic initiatives.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Provides strategic direction for product operations governance and contract management.
Influence and align stakeholders across Product Acquisition, Part Data Management, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and other teams without relying solely on direct authority.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, or related field required; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in product operations, supplier operations, contract management, commercial operations, compliance, or governance (equivalent combination of education and experience accepted).
Proven track record leading contract governance, product operations performance, or transformation programs with measurable business results.
Experience setting strategy, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving accountability across cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of supplier contracts, operational controls, inventory/POS processes, product data management, financial processes, and risk management.
Excellent executive communication, prioritization, decision-making, and project leadership skills.
Experience defining automation strategies, system improvements, KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics that improve scalability in product operations or contract management.
