This is a contingent position to pick up hours on an as needed basis to cover vacations, staff time off, or additional shifts during the busy fall season providing flu shots.
The hours vary based on the need, but the family medicine clinic is open:
Mondays 8a-8p, Tuesday - Friday 8a-5p, and 3rd Saturday of the month 8a-12p
This is for “HOME” location of 131 Kercheval Ave. Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236.
However, there is an opportunity to pick up additional hours / shifts from other departments

Role Overview
As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to patients. Under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you¿ll perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support patient care. Your work ensures smooth clinic operations and enhances the patient experience, making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our community.

What You Will Do
Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
Take medical histories and measure/record vital signs accurately.
Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, assisting providers as needed.
Perform a wide variety of clinical skills related to ambulatory patient care.
Utilize basic computer skills to manage patient records and support clinic operations.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR
Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR
Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR
Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR
Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
