About The Role
Tata Communications is looking for an early-career Solution Engineer to join the Solution Engineering team, focused on building and delivering demonstrations of our Context Graph capabilities. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role for someone who enjoys translating technical concepts into compelling business stories, thinks logically under pressure, and is comfortable being on the road to present in front of customers.
You'll work closely with senior solution architects, product, and sales teams to build demo environments, customize them for specific customer use cases, and present them live — both virtually and on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Demo Build & Ownership: Build, configure, and maintain demo environments for Context Graph, ensuring they reflect current product capabilities and are tailored to different industry use cases.
Customer-Facing Demos: Travel to customer locations (40–50% travel) to deliver live product demonstrations, walk through use cases, and answer first-level technical questions.
Use Case Translation: Work with sales and solution architects to understand a prospect's business problem and translate it into a relevant, believable demo narrative — not just a feature walkthrough.
Troubleshooting on the Fly: Diagnose and resolve demo environment issues quickly, including during live customer sessions, with a calm and structured approach.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to stay current on roadmap changes, feedback loops from the field, and competitive positioning.
Documentation: Maintain demo scripts, environment setup guides, and reusable assets so demos can scale across the team.
Continuous Learning: Build depth in graph data concepts, knowledge graphs, and how Context Graph fits into broader enterprise data and AI strategies.
Must-Have
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (freshers welcome) or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
Strong logical and analytical thinking — able to break down a customer problem and map it to a technical solution.
Ontology-first thinking — demonstrated ability to model an enterprise’s objects, actions and processes as a reusable semantic layer, with metadata, permissions and data structures kept consistent, secure, and scalable Ontology.
Basic understanding of data structures, databases, or graph concepts (formal experience not required, but genuine curiosity and aptitude expected).
Good business acumen — able to understand a customer's commercial context, not just their technical ask.
Comfortable with public speaking / presenting to small and large groups, including senior stakeholders.
Willingness and ability to travel 40–50% of the time for on-site customer demos.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Good To Have (not Mandatory)
Exposure to graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, TigerGraph, etc.) or knowledge graph concepts.
Familiarity with SQL, Python, or basic scripting.
Prior internship or project experience involving customer-facing work, hackathons, or product demos.
Understanding of enterprise IT, telecom, or B2B SaaS environments.
