About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Bilingual Payroll Coordinator to join our team in a fully remote position dedicated to one of our clients.
In this role, you will work closely with our client’s Payroll, Human Resources, and Accounting teams, supporting accurate and timely payroll operations for employees across multiple U.S. states.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, analytical, and experienced in U.S. payroll processing.
This position requires a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and ownership.
Position Summary
The Bilingual Payroll Coordinator will work under the guidance of the Payroll Manager in the United States and will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and supporting accurate multi-state payroll processing.
What you will be doing
Ensure bi-weekly payroll is processed accurately and on time.
Enter salary adjustments, commission payments, bonuses, vacation, sick pay, and other payroll-related data in preparation for payroll processing.
Review calculated wages and correct errors to ensure the accuracy of earnings and payroll changes.
Process wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the appropriate state office or jurisdiction and assisting employees with related questions.
Assist employees with general payroll inquiries and provide guidance on company-specific payroll policies and procedures.
Support employee onboarding activities and ensure timely processing of employee status changes, including new hires, salary changes, classifications, and terminations.
Maintain accurate employee files and update documentation in SharePoint/Cloud systems.
Work closely with Human Resources and Accounting on payroll-related financial analysis and issues.
Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
Perform quarterly deduction audits to ensure the accuracy of benefits and other payroll deductions.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
English proficiency at B2+ level or higher.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2+ years of payroll processing experience supporting U.S. operations, preferably within a multinational company.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) preferred; experience with similar payroll software will also be considered.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong customer service orientation and a high sense of ownership for projects and results.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and demonstrate initiative.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with U.S. federal and state labor and leave laws, particularly California regulations.
Experience supporting multi-state U.S. payroll operations.
Experience working with HR, Accounting, and Payroll teams in a multinational environment.
