Founding Engineer (Europe to San Francisco)

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an early founding engineering hire at an angel-backed AI infrastructure startup, building the platform that powers AI-native service businesses: agentic workforce tooling, a company knowledge layer, a human trust layer, and a unified operator cockpit. You will own the full product surface, from talking to users to shipping to production, with no legacy code and no pre-written roadmap.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and build core platform infrastructure for agentic AI workforces end to end.
- Talk directly to users, define outcomes, and ship features without waiting on tickets or specs.
- Make architectural and product decisions as one of the first technical voices at the company.
- Ship to production from week one and iterate rapidly based on direct feedback.
- Leverage AI tooling throughout your workflow to move at a pace that matches the team's intensity.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven track record shipping real products to real users, including debugging and fixing what broke in production.
- Product-engineer mindset: you define the problem, own the solution, and ship it end to end.
- AI-native: comfortable using AI coding tools at high velocity as a core part of your workflow.
- Broad product-engineering experience relevant to agentic systems or agent-building infrastructure, rather than a single narrow deep-tech specialty.
- Prior experience founding a company or joining a startup at a very early stage.
- Exceptional intensity and execution instincts suited to being among the first technical hires.
- Committed to relocating to San Francisco by January 2027, this is a firm requirement of the role.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Competitive salary while based in Europe, stepping up to San Francisco market rate on the day you arrive. Meaningful early equity included. Visa sponsorship and relocation costs are fully covered by the company.
LOCATION
On-site. Currently based in Europe, with full relocation to San Francisco, United States by January 2027. The company handles the visa and the move.
