Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Control Manager role based in Chennai. The Quality Control Manager will oversee inspection and testing of truck air filters, brake shoes, brake pads, and related products to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include setting quality benchmarks, implementing inspection procedures, documenting test results, and coordinating with suppliers to resolve quality issues. The role involves leading and training quality control staff, investigating product complaints, and recommending process improvements to reduce defects and returns. The Quality Control Manager will collaborate closely with procurement, inventory, and sales teams to maintain consistent product quality and support customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in quality control or quality assurance within automotive parts, manufacturing, or a related industry.
Knowledge of inspection methods, testing procedures, and quality standards for vehicle components such as filters and braking systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ability to create and maintain clear documentation, including inspection reports, quality checklists, and standard operating procedures.
Effective team leadership and communication skills to guide quality staff and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with inventory control and supplier quality management to ensure consistent product availability and quality.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and data entry for tracking inspections and quality metrics.
Relevant technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience with safety regulations and compliance standards in automotive parts handling and storage.
Ability to work on-site in Chennai and manage quality operations in a dynamic retail and distribution environment.
