SAP BTP CPI Integration Architect

Responsibilities: We are looking for a senior SAP BTP CPI Integration Architect with 12–15+ years of relevant experience to independently lead integration architecture and delivery for SAP S/4HANA programs. The role requires strong customer-facing leadership, deep expertise in SAP BTP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI), and ownership of end-to-end integration design, build governance, and run stability.
• Lead end-to-end integration architecture using SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI/Cloud Integration) across SAP and non-SAP applications
• Own integration requirement workshops with business and technical stakeholders and translate them into scalable integration designs
• Architect and govern iFlows, integration patterns, error handling, retries, and exception subprocesses
• Design and implement mappings and transformations (XML/JSON, XSLT, Groovy scripting, value mappings)
• Govern connectivity and security: Cloud Connector, destinations, certificates/keys, encryption/decryption, and OAuth/token-based security
• Drive API-led integration and collaboration with API Management (where in scope)
• Provide architecture guidance for event-driven integration using SAP Event Mesh (where applicable)
• Define monitoring/operations readiness using CPI monitoring, alerting, and runbooks
• Support integration testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare as escalation SME
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as primary Integration Architect for the customer and program leadership
• Define integration standards, naming conventions, documentation templates, and quality gates
• Ensure successful integration with SAP platforms (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, C4C, etc.) and external systems
• Review designs, code, and configurations produced by team members; mentor CPI developers
• Manage technical risks, dependencies, and performance/scalability concerns
• Drive continuous improvement for integration landscape stability and maintainability
Requirements:
• SAP integration experience with strong hands-on CPI/Cloud Integration expertise
• Proven experience designing and delivering integration scenarios using SAP CPI/iFlows
• Strong knowledge of adapters/protocols: HTTP/HTTPS, REST, SOAP, SFTP, IDoc, OData, JDBC, JMS
• Strong mapping and scripting skills: Groovy, XSLT, content modifiers, message transformations
• Experience with monitoring/troubleshooting and production support readiness
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills with independent ownership
