Water Treatment Manager

Role Description The Water Treatment Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, operation, and optimization of water treatment, water supply, and wastewater treatment systems for projects in the Pune District. This is a contract, hybrid role, requiring regular on-site work in Pune District combined with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include supervising plant operations, ensuring regulatory and safety compliance, coordinating with project engineers and local authorities, and managing service providers and vendors. The role involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting operational issues, implementing process improvements, and preparing technical and status reports. The Water Treatment Manager also supports client communication, contributes to project proposals and budgets, and collaborates with internal teams to align water infrastructure solutions with broader sustainability and climate-tech objectives.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Water Treatment and Water Supply systems, including process design, operation, and quality control.
Strong knowledge of Wastewater Treatment processes, regulatory standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
Experience in Account Management, including stakeholder coordination, client relationships, and service delivery oversight.
Proficiency in Operations Management, covering resource planning, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement of plant and field operations.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, process flow diagrams, and monitoring data; familiarity with relevant software tools is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in climate-tech, sustainability projects, or infrastructure consulting is preferred.
