About the Opportunity:
The PRICING SPECIALIST plays a critical role in supporting the Pricing & Profitability team by managing and optimizing pricing data and initiatives. This position ensures accurate pricing administration and analysis, contributing directly to optimized company margins and informed business decisions.
Responsibilities:
Create, modify, and maintain pricing and cost data across multiple warehouses and systems.
Manage customer pricing including special, contract, customer-specific pricing, price levels, file backs, and fuel pricing tables.
Collaborate with the Shared Purchasing team to maintain accurate product costs.
Review and approve CPQ quote requests within thresholds and escalate as needed.
Identify and manage file back opportunities for non-strategic brands.
Maintain pricing automation data such as Chevron C2 Rebate fields.
Support Strategic Pricing Managers with market price changes, mass updates, and initiatives.
Assist with supplier rebate and file back submissions for various programs.
Conduct quarterly rebate and MSA reconciliation audits.
Review vendor credit variances and resolve pricing discrepancies.
Audit and maintain automated customer fee structures and pricing compliance.
Support pricing setup and data migration for acquisitions.
Maintain strategic price levels, price code files, and pricing master data.
Perform pricing data cleanup and ongoing maintenance.
Analyze pricing data and provide reports to support decisions.
Respond to pricing inquiries from branch locations and sales teams.
Requirements:
Strong analytical skills with pricing and financial data.
Experience in pricing analysis and trend identification.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written communication.
Effective problem-solving and critical thinking.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Preferred experience with DM2 or similar ERP/business systems.
Preferred experience in pricing, finance, business analytics, sales operations, or related fields.
Preferred experience maintaining pricing databases or ERP systems.
Familiarity with supplier rebate and contract pricing programs is a plus.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Competitive pay - $85,000 annually
