Application Migration Engineer

Only looking for DMV area candidate.
Required Skills
- Experience: 8+ years of professional Software Engineering experience, with at least 3+ years of direct experience in cloud migration and architecture.
- Core Backend: Strong foundational background in Java development.
- Cloud & Containerization: Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, EKS, and Kubernetes (specifically requires deep knowledge of Helm charts and the Single-Threaded Owner model).
- Security: Solid understanding and implementation experience with OAuth2 and JWT.
- Methodology: Proven experience working efficiently within an Agile environment.
- 100% remote. Must live in DC/MD/VA (DMV) + coming onsite every Wed (coming onsite every Wed is not required but highly preferred).
- Interview process: 1-2 rounds of video interviews + onsite interview.
- Duration: 3 months/end of 2026, possible extension but not sure.
- Short term project: good until end of the year
- 8+ years in SW Engineering with 3+ years of required skills listed below
- Primarily working on Cloud Migration project - key skills are AWS, EKS, Kubernetes (extensive knowledge of STO (Single-Threaded Owner) and helm charts), Oauth2, JWT, Java background, Agile framework
- Project::: Continuation of existing cloud migration from the last 2 years. Couple of applications on-prem that needs to move to cloud (currently on prem, needs to move to off prem), migrating 3 applications to cloud + cloud adoption for existing applications on cloud for consumers
- Seeking Application Cloud Migration Engineers - Not devops engineers.
