Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master with strong experience supporting Data Analytics, Data Platform, DataOps, or Platform Operations teams within a SAFe/Scaled Agile environment.
This role is specifically focused on coaching teams that manage a combination of planned and unplanned work, including production support, incidents, service requests, platform maintenance, reliability, compliance, and enhancements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Healthcare Insurance, along with expertise in SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Jira, and flow-based delivery practices.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of Scrum Master experience
3+ years of experience coaching Data Analytics, Data Platform, DataOps, or Platform Operations teams
3+ years of SAFe experience
Strong Kanban experience is required
4+ years of Healthcare Insurance experience
Experience supporting healthcare insurance areas such as:
Claims
Enrollment
Membership
Benefits
Healthcare data platforms
Experience managing/coaching 2–3 teams
Strong experience with Jira
Jira Align experience is preferred
Experience working with teams handling:
Operational support
Interrupt-driven work
Production incidents
Platform maintenance
Reliability/stability work
Enhancements
Strong backlog management, prioritization, capacity planning, and dependency management skills
Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple teams and dependencies
Key Responsibilities
Coach Data Analytics/Data Platform teams on SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Agile practices
Help teams balance planned work with incidents, production support, maintenance, and service requests
Improve backlog management, work intake, triage, prioritization, and capacity allocation
Facilitate PI Planning, Iteration Planning, Retrospectives, ART Sync, and Inspect & Adapt
Partner with Product Owners, Product/Service Leaders, RTEs, managers, and Agile Coaches
Improve team flow, transparency, predictability, and responsiveness
Establish meaningful metrics such as:
Throughput
Work aging
Response/resolution time
Unplanned work ratio
Flow efficiency
WIP
Predictability/forecasting
Help teams determine when to use Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery models
Coach teams and leadership to adopt Agile practices appropriate for operational/platform environments
