Role Description
This is a Product Engineer role based remotely in the US. The role will build software for healthcare operations, working directly with the end users. You will own product engineering from understanding a workflow through building, deploying, and improving the software behind it. You will work closely with the founder on priorities and make consequential decisions about architecture, scope, and how we build.
Customer implementation is part of the job. You should enjoy observing how work happens, asking questions, and helping people adopt what you build. Your responsibility is to turn those lessons into a product that works across customers.
What you will do
You are expected to travel for 25% of the time
Turn customer needs into clear problems, focused product decisions, and working software.
Build across the stack, including interfaces, backend services, databases, and deployment.
Connect external systems and make inconsistent operational data usable.
Work with customers through discovery, rollout, troubleshooting, and improvement, including visits onsite.
Use AI where it improves the workflow. Evaluate its behavior and design appropriate human review and failure handling.
Own production quality through testing, access controls, monitoring, and maintenance.
Decide what belongs in the shared product, what needs configuration, and what should stay outside the scope.
What you Bring
You have 4+ years of experience as product engineer.
You are familiar with AI-native development tech stack.
You have independently shipped and maintained production software and can explain the decisions you made along the way.
You can work across the stack, investigate unfamiliar systems, and carry a problem through to resolution.
You communicate clearly with people who do not write code.
You can narrow an ambiguous request, make practical tradeoffs, and push back when a proposed feature adds complexity without enough value.
Experience with healthcare workflows, AI applications, data integrations, or early-stage products is useful. We care most about evidence of your work and judgment.
