Senior Production Manager– Press Shop

Shree Balaji Industries (SBI) is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations at Vallam–Vadagal SIPCOT, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu.
We are looking for a hands-on manufacturing leader who can take ownership of Production, Productivity, Quality, Delivery, Maintenance, Safety, Cost and People Development.
The position offers an opportunity to take complete ownership of plant performance and work closely with Top Management in building a high-performance manufacturing operation.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
As Senior Production Manager, you will be responsible for:
🔹 Drive Production Planning & Execution as per customer requirements
🔹 Achieve OEE >95% and Operation Ratio >95%
🔹 Coordinate directly with customers for monthly production planning and delivery requirements
🔹 Plan and deploy manpower and other resources based on production requirements
🔹 Ensure daily production targets and on-time dispatch
🔹 Maintain adequate inventory of critical components to prevent line stoppages
🔹 Coordinate preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance and equipment reliability
🔹 Implement QRQC across operational areas
🔹 Drive 5S, TPM and Continuous Improvement initiatives
🔹 Develop and implement operator/supervisor training and OTJ training
🔹 Support implementation and maintenance of IATF 16949 requirements within Production
🔹 Conduct process and equipment-related internal audits
🔹 Coordinate with QA for customer complaints, supplier rejections and CAPA
🔹 Control consumable usage and production-related costs
🔹 Prepare and present Monthly Production Review / MRM reports
🔹 Identify major operational risks and escalate critical issues to Top Management
👤 Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a professional with:
Strong experience in Automotive Manufacturing / Engineering Industry / Press Shop operations
Proven experience managing plant production operations
Strong understanding of OEE, productivity and capacity planning
Experience in Production Planning & Control
Knowledge of IATF 16949
Exposure to QRQC, 5S, TPM and Kaizen
Good understanding of machine maintenance and production equipment
Strong manpower management and leadership skills
Experience in customer coordination and production planning
Ability to analyse production, quality and delivery issues and drive corrective action
Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
