Video Data Annotation Specialist

micro1 is offering a remote contract opportunity for Video Data Annotation Specialists to support a customer project focused on advancing artificial intelligence.
In this role, you will use your attention to detail and multimedia expertise to review and annotate video and audio content, evaluate AI-generated outputs, and provide high-quality feedback that helps improve next-generation AI systems.
No prior AI experience is required. Your domain knowledge, accuracy, and ability to follow detailed guidelines are what matter most.
Responsibilities
Review and accurately annotate short video and audio clips according to project guidelines.
Evaluate AI-generated descriptions for accuracy, relevance, and appropriateness.
Assess multimedia content against established moderation standards.
Flag uncertain, inaccurate, or inappropriate content and provide clear rationale.
Provide concise written feedback on AI outputs, including inaccuracies and ambiguities.
Maintain high accuracy and consistency across large volumes of annotations.
Follow project updates, quality standards, and annotation guidelines.
Collaborate remotely with project managers and other specialists.
Identify recurring issues and contribute suggestions for process improvements.
Maintain strict confidentiality and follow all applicable data protection requirements.
Qualifications
Previous experience in video/audio annotation, data labeling, content moderation, quality assurance, or similar work is preferred.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
Excellent attention to visual and audio details.
Ability to follow detailed guidelines consistently.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Comfortable working with repetitive, detail-oriented tasks while maintaining quality.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
Strong commitment to confidentiality and responsible data handling.
Preferred Skills
Experience with AI/ML data annotation or evaluation.
Experience evaluating AI-generated content.
