Role Description The Safety Officer role at Meghmani LLP is a full-time, on-site position based at the Dahej manufacturing facility. The Safety Officer is responsible for monitoring and enforcing health, safety, and security standards across plant operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Day-to-day activities include conducting safety inspections and audits, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and supporting accident and incident investigations. The role involves planning and delivering safety training sessions for employees, maintaining safety documentation and records, and assisting in emergency preparedness and response. The Safety Officer collaborates closely with production, maintenance, and management teams to continuously improve the safety culture and reduce risk across the site.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge, with experience applying these principles in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Candidates should possess skills in Accident Investigation and incident reporting, including root-cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
Candidates should possess capabilities in Security and workplace safety oversight, ensuring compliance with site access, emergency, and risk mitigation procedures.
Candidates should possess experience in Safety Training, including designing and delivering training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
Relevant degree or diploma in Safety Management, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health, or related discipline; recognized safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are an advantage.
Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, Indian safety regulations, and US-FDA or similar standards is beneficial.
Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills, with the ability to influence behavior and promote a positive safety culture.
Ability to work on-site in Dahej, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and respond effectively in high-pressure or emergency situations.
