Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Certified Medical Coder role based in Kurnool. The Certified Medical Coder will review clinical documentation, apply appropriate medical codes, and ensure accurate coding for diagnoses, procedures, and services according to established guidelines. The role includes validating code selections, working with clinical and administrative teams to clarify documentation, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and payer requirements. The individual will be responsible for supporting accurate billing and reimbursement, maintaining coding productivity and quality standards, and staying current with changes in coding rules and healthcare regulations. Daily tasks also involve maintaining clear records, participating in audits or quality reviews, and contributing to process improvements in health information management.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Medical Coding skills with proven Coding Experience.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management practices.
Candidates should possess relevant credentials such as RHIT or equivalent certification in health information or medical coding.
Candidates should possess familiarity with ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems and current coding guidelines.
Candidates should possess attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret clinical documentation accurately.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clinical and administrative teams.
Candidates should possess proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
A diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related healthcare field is preferred; prior experience in a hospital or clinic coding environment is an advantage.
