Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Role Description The Chief Information Officer (CIO) at WING WAH EXPLORATION ET PRODUCTION PETROLIERE SAU is a part-time, remote role responsible for leading the organization’s information technology vision and execution. The CIO oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of IT systems that support exploration, production, and corporate operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining IT strategy, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, and overseeing IT operations to ensure reliability, security, and scalability. The CIO collaborates with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to improve business processes, manage technology risks, and drive digital transformation. Additional duties include vendor management, IT budgeting, compliance oversight, and implementing best practices for data governance and cybersecurity.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Information Technology, including enterprise systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
Demonstrated experience in IT Operations, overseeing system performance, incident management, and service delivery.
Proven IT Management skills, including team leadership, vendor coordination, and project oversight.
Ability to develop and execute IT Strategy that aligns technology investments with organizational goals.
Experience improving Business Processes through technology, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in the energy, oil and gas, or industrial sectors is highly beneficial.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and remote collaboration skills.
Proficiency in IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) and familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements.
