At Purplechalk, we don’t just chase rankings — we craft discoverable brands. We’re looking for an SEO Trainee who’s proactive, analytical, and ready to jump in right away. You’ll work hands-on across multiple D2C and lifestyle brands, mastering everything from site audits and GEO optimization to AI-powered search visibility and performance analytics.
What You’ll Do
Perform detailed site audits to identify technical and on-page improvement opportunities
Optimise meta titles, descriptions, headers, and URLs for better rankings and CTR
Manage SEO postings, directory listings, and local citations across relevant platforms
Handle robots.txt setup, sitemap submissions, and indexation monitoring via Google Search Console
Implement schema markups, structured data, and AI/AEO search listings for better visibility
Work on GEO and local SEO to improve regional and global discoverability
Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and backlink tracking
Monitor SEO metrics and generate periodic performance reports
Collaborate with content, design, and web teams to execute SEO strategies
Explore and leverage AI tools for keyword clustering, meta generation, and insights
What We’re Looking For
6m –1 year of experience in SEO, analytics, or web optimization
Understanding of SEO fundamentals, site audits, GEO targeting, and keyword strategy
Familiar with robots.txt, schema markups, and Google tools (Analytics, Search Console, etc.)
Awareness of AI search visibility and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
A go-getter, self-starter, and team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Must be based in Chennai /Tamil Nadu
