Role Description The Architecture Design Engineer will work as part of a multidisciplinary remote team to develop and coordinate architectural designs within BIM-based workflows. This contract role involves producing detailed design documentation, 3D models, and specifications using CAD and BIM tools, ensuring alignment with project standards and LOD requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with engineers and other design professionals, supporting clash detection and model coordination, and refining design solutions based on project feedback. The Architecture Design Engineer will also assist in integrating architectural models with mechanical, electrical, structural, and landscape disciplines, and contribute to continuous improvement of digital design processes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Design Engineering, with experience in architectural design and multidisciplinary project coordination.
Background in Mechanical Engineering relevant to building systems and integration within architectural designs.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and BIM tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) for model creation and documentation.
Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles as they apply to building design and coordination with other disciplines.
Experience in Product Design or component-level design within the built environment or construction-related products.
Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD requirements (200–500), and digital construction workflows in the AEC sector.
Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings, specifications, and coordinated models with attention to detail.
Effective remote collaboration skills, including clear communication in English and ability to work across time zones.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
Prior experience on BIM-based projects and familiarity with clash detection, 4D/5D BIM, and model-based scheduling is beneficial.
