Product Manager (Comply Tech)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, analytical, and resourceful product manager to join our Investment Services Technology team, partnering closely with the Compliance team, based in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, or Gurugram. This team delivers technology solutions that support critical firm functions and regulatory obligations. The role offers an inclusive and dynamic environment, with a focus on improving technology for efficiency, control, and scalability. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional product management fundamentals, experience in process optimisation and workflow automation, and the judgment to operate effectively in a highly regulated and confidential environment with diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Compliance teams and technology partners to assess, design, and implement scalable technology solutions.
Strengthen compliance operations across pre-trade compliance, trade restrictions, position-limit monitoring, trade surveillance, and regulatory reporting.
Coordinate senior-level compliance technology transformation initiatives, including build-versus-buy assessments and replacement of legacy and vendor systems with scalable in-house platforms.
Develop AI- and data-enabled solutions to enhance compliance monitoring, detection, and regulatory reporting capabilities.
Lead requirements gathering and prioritisation across diverse stakeholder groups, define product visions and roadmaps, and identify opportunities to automate workflows, improve data integrity, and enhance operational resilience.
Balance near-term regulatory and operational needs with long-term strategic and architectural objectives while building scalable infrastructure in areas with limited existing technology.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, a related field, or an MBA, with 8+ years of product management experience, preferably within the financial services or investment management industry.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and operational concepts clearly, influence decision-making through both meetings and written artefacts, and engage effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to generate product insights, prioritise initiatives, measure outcomes, and guide product strategy.
Proven adaptability in managing changing priorities, with strong project and delivery management skills in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and business teams, translating nontechnical needs into clear requirements while balancing competing stakeholder priorities, building consensus, and delivering customer-focused outcomes.
A high degree of attention to detail and structured problem-solving abilities, with a consistent focus on quality, risk awareness, and operational excellence.
Hands-on experience owning and delivering technology products end-to-end in Agile environments, from product vision and discovery through backlog management, iterative delivery, launch, scaling, and ongoing maturation.
Demonstrated expertise in workflow automation and process optimisation, applying structured approaches and tools to improve efficiency, transparency, and control.
A solid understanding of operational workflows within hedge funds and investment management firms, including how controls, data integrity, and regulatory considerations shape technology and product design.
Exposure to the investment management or hedge fund domain, with familiarity with pre-trade compliance, trade restrictions, position limits, trade surveillance, or regulatory and transaction reporting.
Experience partnering closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, or other control functions to define requirements and deliver workflow-driven, compliant technology solutions.
