Tech Head- Product Engineering/Digital Transformation

Role Purpose -The Head of Technology will own the technology vision, engineering strategy, product and platform roadmap, architecture, software-development practices, infrastructure and technology-enabled transformation agenda of the organization. The role will translate business and customer needs into scalable technology solutions, strengthen product engineering and automation capability, and ensure that technology investments create measurable improvements in quality, speed, customer experience, operational efficiency and business growth. The incumbent will lead cross-functional technology teams and work closely with business, operations, sales, product, quality and leadership stakeholders.
Key Leadership Mandate
· Develop and execute the enterprise technology strategy and multi-year roadmap in alignment with business objectives, customer needs and Amnet's digital-content transformation agenda.
· Lead technology, engineering and product-development teams; build a high-performance culture with strong ownership, engineering discipline and continuous learning.
· Own system architecture, software development, platforms, integrations, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, networks and technology operations.
· Drive platform thinking, workflow automation, AI-enabled production and digital modernization across publishing, content and creative-production workflows.
· Establish strong engineering governance across architecture, coding standards, DevOps, testing, release management, security, availability and support.
· Partner with the Managing Director and business leadership on technology investments, prioritization, budgets, scalability, risk and measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities1. Technology Strategy & Roadmap
· Define the technology vision, target architecture and prioritized roadmap for products, platforms, automation and enterprise technology.
· Translate strategic business priorities into technology programs with clear milestones, dependencies, investment requirements and success measures.
· Track technology and platform trends relevant to creative production, publishing technology, content transformation and digital operations.
· Conduct competitor and capability analysis; assess emerging products and technologies for potential value, disruption, risk or investment.
2. Product, Platform & Engineering Leadership
· Manage the development lifecycle to achieve planned product and feature objectives, with phase-wise roadmap delivery and disciplined milestone management.
· Uncover and understand primarily internal customer needs, convert them into requirements, and evaluate or prototype suitable solution approaches.
· Create or guide technical product specifications, detailed requirements, feature definitions and acceptance criteria.
· Work closely with developers, engineers, architects and QA teams as a technology and product subject-matter expert.
3. Architecture, Software Development & Integration
· Oversee scalable system architecture and software engineering across CMS/web platforms and technologies such as WordPress or similar CMS, Java, Node.js, React.js and .NET.
· Build and govern integrations and data pipelines for seamless information flow across connected systems.
· Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and oversee the engineering aspects of implementation.
· Define architecture principles for performance, maintainability, scalability, interoperability and resilience.
4. Automation, AI & Emerging Technology
· Identify and prioritize automation opportunities across content, production and business workflows.
· Evaluate the application of OCR, NLP and AI/ML capabilities to improve automation feasibility, accuracy and performance.
· Leverage or evaluate RPA platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism and Automation Anywhere where appropriate.
· Assess open-source technologies and emerging technology options that can improve speed, quality, differentiation or cost efficiency.
5. Quality Engineering, DevOps & Release Governance
· Establish testing strategy covering unit, integration and regression testing, with appropriate automated testing frameworks and continuous-integration practices.
· Define product success criteria, testing gates, post-launch sequences and product-acceptance standards.
· Strengthen DevOps practices, deployment discipline, observability, environment management and release reliability.
· Own technology support KPIs including hosting, infrastructure availability and ticket-resolution performance.
Operations:-
· Lead IT infrastructure, cloud, network administration, cybersecurity and technology-support initiatives.
· Ensure data security, compliance, access controls, business continuity, risk management and relevant technology policies are implemented and followed.
· Evaluate cloud, infrastructure and security investments for scalability, reliability and cost effectiveness.
Business :-
· Partner with business and operating teams to ensure development remains aligned with business requirements and customer feedback.
· Participate in client conversations and support sales and operations in winning new business by identifying technology-led improvements and differentiated solutions.
· Work effectively with operations, sales, marketing, QA, engineering, product and other functions in a cross-functional environment.
· Provide internal and customer training on products and technology solutions where required.
Program/Budgement Management:-
· Apply project-management discipline to manage scope, time, cost, quality, dependencies and delivery risk.
· Manage technology budgets and optimize spend while maintaining efficiency, security and scalability.
· Build and manage relationships with external technology partners, vendors and strategic stakeholders.
· Use performance KPIs and experiment results to evaluate product and technology outcomes and drive corrective action.
9. People Leadership
· Lead, mentor and scale technology teams across development, architecture, infrastructure, QA and related functions.
· Build capability across remote, hybrid and cross-functional teams; establish clear accountability, performance expectations and development plans.
· Promote strategic thinking, problem solving, prioritization, innovation and continuous improvement.
